I had the pleasure of meeting the new owner Sandy, and she is such a sweetie! Had to let her know she is doing an amazing job! The store appears much cleaner and brighter, better organized and noticing a bunch of new products being brought in. I don’t mind paying a little more in exchange for a local small market experience and FREE parking.

Always clean and stock turnover is healthy but deduct one star for high prices. Great neighborhood grocery store, and it will be sadly missed when it inevitably turns into condos. So enjoy it while you can people.

Vote with your wallet. When each item costs $1 to $2 higher than other main grocery stores, it's time to switch. When this store changed hands a few years ago, I watched as prices increased to unaffordable, then slowly decreased, then went on sale when no one was buying. The ice cream section is always entertaining. Every time they try to make more money on it, it piles up, unsold. I do my main shopping elsewhere but sometimes need the odd item. Staff don't stay long and although some cashiers are friendly and professional, today's cashier was terse and unresponsive to the point of rudeness. Basic customer service was, apparently, more than she could bear to provide. I would rather have a pleasant experience - which means just about anywhere else. After shopping there for a disappointing few years, it's time to move on. I won't be returning.

I was approached and accused of stealing or whatever they were saying in front of everyone today by a manager until the employee she had summoned realized his mistake. No apology was offered, he said " oh sh.." and she turned her back to me. Gutless wonders. How dare you use foul language to me as an elderly gentleman. As an actual business manager, myself, new to Toronto, i suggest these two boneheads are dismissed. Never again will i support 'local' and i will not return. The prices there are borderline ridiculous. Stop gouging the 'locals' with unjustified astronomical prices. Walmart online is half the price, right to your door. Absolute idiots.

Very nice neighborhood store. Sandy who is the owner is very nice. I live nearby and it's way way way better than foodland. They need more varied products tho for instance more selection of different kinds of pasta and sauces and international food and they need more selection of products in the organic section.

This store is good for fresh produce and meats. They have a deli/ bakery counter in the back as well. The only downside is that it's a little on the pricier side.
